About CompanyIQ
What is CompanyIQ?
CompanyIQ is a UK company intelligence platform. It retrieves data from Companies House, reads the filed financial documents, and uses AI to generate a scored intelligence report on UK registered companies. All reports include a CIQ Score, financial overview, risk signals, director analysis, and a plain-language executive summary.
Where does the data come from?
All data is sourced directly from Companies House, the official UK government register. Financial documents are extracted and analysed using AI. Nothing is estimated or sourced from third parties.
How accurate are the reports?
Reports are as accurate as the data filed with Companies House. If a company has filed late, incomplete, or micro-entity accounts, the analysis will reflect those limitations and flag them clearly. AI analysis may occasionally misinterpret figures or context. Reports are intended to support your own decision-making and should not be treated as the sole basis for any financial, legal, or commercial decision.
The CIQ Score
What is the CIQ Score?
The CIQ Score is a 0 to 100 rating of a company's overall health across five dimensions: Financial Health (up to 40 points), Filing Compliance (up to 20 points), Director Quality (up to 20 points), Market Position (up to 10 points), and Risk Assessment (up to 10 points). Higher is better.

Why does a large company show a Governance and Compliance Report instead of a CIQ Score?
Companies with very large financial document filings are processed on a simplified path that covers filing compliance, director quality, and board stability, but cannot extract full financial metrics. This is clearly labelled in the report and the limitations are explained.
Running an Analysis
How long does an analysis take?
Most analyses complete in under 5 minutes. The loading screen shows a time estimate based on the size of the company's filed documents. You can safely leave the page and the completed report will be saved to your dashboard automatically.
Can I leave the page while an analysis is running?
Yes. The analysis runs entirely in the background. When it completes, the report is saved to your dashboard and you can view it at any time. You do not need to stay on the loading screen.
What if an analysis fails?
Analysis failures can occasionally occur due to temporary high demand on the AI systems we use. If your analysis fails, no credit is charged and you will be notified on your dashboard with the option to try again. We recommend waiting a few minutes before retrying. If the problem persists, contact us at support@company-iq.co.uk and we will investigate. CompanyIQ does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of AI analysis services, as these depend on third-party infrastructure outside our direct control.
Can I run the same company twice?
Yes. If a recent analysis already exists for a company, it will be returned instantly from our database at no extra cost. A fresh analysis is only triggered when new information is present on Companies House.
Billing and Credits
How do credits work?
Each completed analysis uses one credit. Monthly plan credits reset at the start of each billing cycle. Pay-as-you-go credits do not expire. If you run a company that has already been recently analysed, no credit is used.
What happens when I run out of credits?
You can upgrade to a higher tier or purchase a pay-as-you-go credit at any time. There are no automatic overage charges.
Am I charged if an analysis fails?
No. Credits are only consumed for successfully completed analyses. If an analysis fails for any reason, your credit is automatically refunded and your balance is restored. You can retry the analysis at no additional cost.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, cancel anytime from your account settings. No cancellation fees. You retain access until the end of your current billing period.
Do you offer refunds?
Pay-as-you-go purchases are non-refundable. Monthly subscription refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis within 7 days of charge. Contact support@company-iq.co.uk.
Account and Privacy
Can I change my email address?
Email addresses cannot be changed on an existing account. If you need to use a different email, cancel your current subscription and create a new account with the new address. Any remaining credits on the old account cannot be transferred.
Is my data secure?
Yes. We use industry-standard encryption, row-level access controls, and secure authentication. Your analyses are private to your account. We do not sell your data.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. Email support@company-iq.co.uk to request account deletion. Your data will be purged within 30 days. Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by UK financial regulations.
